Like all our products, our metal rose Trellises are handmade. No two are the same. The random, flowing rods echo the climbing plants they support and are a refreshing change from the uniform trellis typically on offer.
Our metal Trellis can be secured to fences, walls, and buildings. Or use the optional steel posts to create freestanding screens. The open structure retains a view through, while still providing a delineation, climbers can be used to soften and provide a more dense screen if desired.
These metal trellises can be secured horizontally or vertically. We assume the freestanding screens will be installed vertically. If horizontally, please let us know as we will supply shorter posts at a discounted rate.
The curved sturdy steel rods are ideal for supporting heavy woody climbers such as Roses and wisterias which typically force timber structures apart. When secured to a wall there is space behind the bars for climbers to weave in and out. The bars are made from solid steel, so they will last a lifetime.
While the pricing is for a standard 0.9m/1.8m panel, they can be made to most bespoke sizes.

Weathered steel trellis pair beautifully with brickwork, stone, and timber so even if your climbers are not putting on a display, their support will still be looking great. Or make a contemporary statement with the galvanised version.
We can make the 3A Trellis to any size (as long as we can ship them). We can even add details such as steel leaves or flowers (keeping it tasteful of course!)

Ask us, the chances are we can fabricate what you require, we can use different internal curved bar or framework. We can galvanise and powder coat the design in any colour you choose.
Being made of solid steel, there is little to adversely affect them. In normal conditions, they will be looking good for in excess of 50 years.
If securing to a wall attach the trellis using heavy duty rawl plugs and screws, this is ideal for solid brickwork and mortar. If there is any doubt over the substrate or the surface is uneven (such as a stone wall) we recommend using a M8 threaded bar glued into the wall with a resin such as R-KEM 11. The framework has holes for use with either fixing method.
As long as the wall, fence, or building you’re attaching to is strong enough to support the weight, then yes.
Simply with the use of the self drilling screws supplied. These special screws drill through metal posts and provide a strong fixing without the need to pre-drill or use nuts and bolts. There are holes in the trellis framework ready for fixing. It couldn’t be simpler.
Typically, yes. We advise cementing the posts in to ensure they are solid.
It’s possible, the optional posts allow you to do this but bear in mind the screening they give is limited, if you have a view through you wish to partially maintain then this is fine. If you need to screen neighbours for more privacy, we can talk about adding extra steel for a sturdier screen, or consider planting climbers for additional coverage.
No, like the trellis they are made from steel so will be standing firm for in excess of 50 years.
